Wilmer Watson

Wilmer Lewis Watson, 86, of Moultrie, passed away, Monday, September 13, 2021, at Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brandon McClelland, Eric Morton, Timmy Carr, Shane Fox, Michael Monk, and JoJo Tabor will all serve as pallbearers.

Born on May 17, 1935, in Madison, Florida, he was the son of the late Nick Littleton Watson and Sadie Sumner Watson. He served in the United States Army Reserved, worked as an orderly at Vereen Memorial Hospital and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Lyle Watson; and sisters, Dorothy Watson Woods and Marian Castleberry.

Mr. Watson is survived by his daughters, Lawanna Watson Morey, Regina Wright of Lenox, and Teresa Griffin and Damon of Tifton; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren

Family will receive friends one hour before the visitation from 2:00-3:00 PM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
