Willie Edward Hayes

Willie Edward Hayes, 78, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Oakhill Cemetery in Quitman, Ga with Rev. Larry Harris officiating.
Born August 5, 1944, in Quitman, Georgia, he was the son of the late Lamar Kenneth Hayes and Nan Lou Sapp Hayes. He was a school bus driver for over 30 years in Brooks County and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Barker Hayes; and brothers, Kenneth Hayes, and Freddie Hayes.
Mr. Hayes is survived by his children, Ricky Hayes and wife Renee of Norman Park, Eddie Hayes and wife Jerri of Quitman, and Renee Hayes of Quitman; brother, Donald Hayes and wife Kathy of Quitman; sister, Simmie Hayes Sutton and husband Joe of Valdosta; Grandchildren, Michael Hayes, Haden Hayes, Macy Hayes, Trey Wilson, Chelsey Foreman, Joel Beaty, and Christi Beaty; great-grandchildren, Melanie Stevens, Landon Hayes, Theo Hayes, Harlen Hayes, and Reign Hayes.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
