William Robert Sloan, Sr., 73, of Moultrie, died on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Archbold Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Dudding officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Church Cemetery. Billy Clay, Randy Clay, Kenny Croft, Jimmy Ponder, James Meeks, and Robert Szilagyi will all serve as pallbearers. Clay Sloan, Wesley Sloan, and Sawyer Sloan will at serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born on August 4, 1947 in Bainbridge, Georgia, he was the son of the late Purcell Sloan and Paulene Powell Sloan. He worked as a project manager, a veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Sloan; and sister, Susan Sloan.
Mr. Sloan is survived by his loving wife, Jacquelyn Clay Sloan of Moultrie; children, Tracy Szilagyi of Peachtree City, Polly Jarvis and husband Lee of Moultrie, William Robert Sloan, Jr. and wife Michelle of Moultrie, and Stacey Croft and husband Kenny of Moultrie; grandchildren, Autumn Sloan, Robert Szilagyi, Madison Szilagyi, Lilly Szilagyi, Danielle Jarvis, Hannah Jarvis, Jimmy Jarvis, Clay Sloan, Wesley Sloan, Sawyer Sloan, Brittni Weathers, and Kelli Norman; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Sloan and wife Angie of Dacula; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family will be gathering at the home of William Sloan, Jr. 2185 Georgia Hwy 111 Moultrie, Georgia 31768
