William Gregory “Greg” McCall, 73, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Moultrie, Georgia, died at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Born on February 28, 1951, in Gainesville, Florida, he was the son of the late Irvine Ercelle McCall and Rosemary Audrey Boyd McCall. Greg graduated from Davidson College in Charlotte with a Psychology degree and later from Mercer University Law School. He went back to Charlotte, where he quickly established himself as a formidable presence in the legal community. His work as District Attorney allowed him to advocate for victims’ rights and uphold the law with integrity and compassion. Colleagues and friends admired his sharp intellect, tenacity, and fairness. Beyond his professional achievements, Greg cherished his family above all else. He took great pride in supporting his loved ones. Greg’s warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Dawn McCall Henderson.
Greg is survived by his loving brother, Irvine Curtis McCall of Moultrie; and nephews, Christopher James McCall of Charlotte, NC and Mark Curtis McCall of Moultrie.
