William "Billy" Thomas Cole

William “Billy” Thomas Cole, 74, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. David Benton. Per his wishes, his remains will be spread at the Big Bayou Creek off of The Gulf of America at a later date.

The family will receive friends after the service.

Mr. Cole was born on February 2, 1952, in Albany, Georgia. He was the son of the late Emma Flanagan Cole and Jesse B. Cole. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Mobley Plant Company as the Plant Maintenance Foreman. A hardworking and dependable man, he took great pride in a job well done. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy fishing along the coast, where the peaceful waters brought him relaxation and contentment. He was also widely known for his exceptional carpentry skills and was truly a master craftsman. Whether building, repairing, or creating something from scratch, his attention to detail and remarkable talent were evident in every project. The legacy of his craftsmanship will live on for generations, just as the memories of his kindness, work ethic, and love for family will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Faye Cole; brothers, Jerry Cole and John Cole.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Nancy Ruth Brinson Cole; sister, Patricia Ann Cole; brother Freddy J. Cole and wife Carolyn; bonus son, Larry Coots and Katie Reed; stepchildren, Christie Plott, Misty Plott, and Robert Paulk III; grandchildren, Jacob Coots and wife, Erin, Tyler Coots and wife, Gracie, and Grant Coots; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Shae Coots; cousin, Pennianne Riggs and husband David.

The family sincerely thanks all who prayed, visited, called, sent cards, prepared meals, and stood with us during this journey. Your love reflected the grace of Christ and strengthened us more than words can express. We are forever grateful.
