Wandell Eugene " Buddy " Hart

Wandell Eugene “Buddy” Hart, 77, of Moultrie, died Saturday, June 20, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Hersaid Romero. Interment will follow at China Grove Cemetery. Jared Craven, Dustin Hart, Josh Hart, Matt Craven, Bob Hart, and Brody Herring will all serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born on December 13, 1948, in Brooks County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Walter Lee Hart and Sara Ruth Farmer Hart. He was a man who truly loved the outdoors and found joy in the simple things in life. Whether he was sitting beside a pond with a fishing pole in hand, hunting in the woods, or working in his yard, Buddy was happiest when he was outside.

An avid fisherman, Buddy especially enjoyed making his own homemade fishing jigs and spending countless hours at the pond. He also loved hunting and never missed an opportunity to be outdoors. When he was at home, he could often be found watching hunting and fishing programs, classic westerns, or professional wrestling.

Buddy had a true gift for growing things and was known for his green thumb. He took pride in his garden and enjoyed caring for plants and watching them flourish. More than anything, he treasured the time he spent with family and friends, making memories that will be cherished for years to come. He was of the Baptist faith.

Along with his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhona Hart; brothers, Guy Hart and Donald Hart; and sisters, Dorothy Spruill and Regina Hart.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-five years, Gladys Craven Hart of Moultrie; son, Bradley Eugene Hart and wife Tina of Moultrie; grandchildren, Shelby Hart, Chandler Hart and Les Ponder; sisters, Carolyn Herring and husband Jerry of Madison, FL and Shirley Blanton of Spenser, OK; and sisters-in-law, Jackie Hart and Elmyra Hart, also of Moultrie; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
