Verna Brackett

Verna M. Walker Brackett, 89, of Dacula, Georgia, formerly of Moultrie, died Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Voyles officiating. A private interment will take place at Wrights Chapel Cemetery, in Worth County.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Born on May 30, 1934, in Worth Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Fred Walker and Iris Jackson Walker. Mrs. Brackett retired from Nabisco after many years of dedicated service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Brackett; and brothers, Steve Walker, Jr., Willie Walker, and Jimmie Walker.
Mrs. Brackett leaves behind her cherished daughter, Ann Holder of Hoschton; grandchildren, Steve Wilkie of Hoschton, Jason Wilkie and wife Sherie of Jefferson, and Josh Wilkie and wife Shannon of Dacula; great grandchildren, Dylan Hayes, Mikaylah Wilkie, Alyssa Wilkie, Tyler Wilkie and wife Avalon, Blake Wilkie, and Rylee Wilkie; and two great-great grandchildren, Cason and Oliver Wilkie; and her beloved sister, Betty Parker and husband Carrol of Moultrie.
