Vallie S. Chafin, 88, of Norman Park, died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at her home.
Funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Cool Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Norman Park with Rev. Wayne Smith and Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. James Sutton, Jeremy Sutton, Jason Sutton, Ricky Hembree, Keith Bryan and John Paul Sutton will serve as pallbearers.
Born on February 12, 1932 in Haralson County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Robert Spearman and Willie Mae Dennis Spearman. She was a homemaker and was a member of Cool Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles (C.M.) Chafin Jr.; brothers, C.W. Spearman, Cecil Spearman, and Billy Spearman; and sisters, Doris Brown, Joyce Whitehurst, Mary Futch, and Lois McCrary.
Mrs. Chafin is survived by her son, Glenn Chafin and wife Lajuana; grandchildren, Michael Chafin and wife Leanne  and Jill Ford and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Charlie Chafin, James Chafin, William Chafin, Grayson Ford, and Trenton Ford; sister-in-law, Claudette Spearman; Special caregiver, Joyce Jarrell.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
