Thomas "Tommy" Lavon Curles

Thomas “Tommy” Lavon Curles, 78, of Valdosta, formerly of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 am -12:00 noon in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home.

Born on July 30, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, Tommy was the son of the late Jacob Summerlin and Mammie Johnson Summerlin. He retired from Ball Industries after twenty years of dedicated service as an electrician. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Tommy honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. He loved spending time fishing and riding horses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy Summerlin and Wade Summerlin.

Tommy is survived by his sons, Brad Curles and wife Vanessa, Stacey Curles, and Shannon Curles; daughter, Sonya Curles; grandchildren, Bailey Curles and wife Brooklyn, Skylar Sanchez and husband Kaden, Jasmine Meeks, Morgan Hicks, Ethan Prosser, Conner Curles, Raegan Curles, Amber Westbrook, Kylie Curles, Kaylee Curles; and multiple great-grandchildren.
