Tarol Lee Hunter passed away on January 22, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Parker, and Jamie Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike King, Oscar Ansley, Bob Harrell, Matt Stout, Jerry Bennett, and Jim Robison. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewitt Jordan and Tommy Schrouder.
Born August 29, 1948, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Frank G. Hunter and Wilma Harnage Morey.
He attended Riverside Holiness Church and Providence Holiness Church, where he enjoyed hearing his grandchildren sing and play music. He was an avid researcher of genealogies and the history of Moultrie, Riverside, and Colquitt County. He was the owner and operator of Hunter Exterminating, where he loved talking with each of his customers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Carol Sue Hunter, his brother, Jerome Hunter, and his grandson, Matthew Nowland.
He is survived by two sisters, Wonnie Ansley (Oscar) and Lisa King (Mike); four children, Tracy Hunter (Becky), Timmy Hunter (Kelly), Beckie Nowland (Shain), and Jamie Hunter (Jo); ten grandchildren, Caleb Hunter (Sierra), Anna Grace Hunter, Hayden Hunter, Zach Nowland, Levi Hunter, Caroline Hunter, Wyatt Hunter, Cody Hunter, Brett Hunter, and Olivia Nowland; extended grandchildren Shain Nowland (Lindsey), Caleb Nowland (Destiny) and Ryan Nowland (Kayla); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended great grandchildren.
Baker Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
