Tanya Teal Thompson

Tanya Teal Thompson, 49, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Archbold Medical Center.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6 pm- 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery. Robby Conner, Brett Smith, Thomas Garrison, Brooks Wheeler, Anthony “Pooh Bear” Manning, and Charles Sloan will serve as pallbearers. Steve Vickers will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Born on August 16, 1973, in Hahira, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Zack Herman Teal and Frances Lullene Walden Teal. She was a Registered Nurse at Bishop Foundation in Quitman, GA., and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Jonathan Teal.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, John Edward Thompson, Jr. of Moultrie, GA.; son, Chris Thompson of Moultrie; daughter, Chelsea Thompson of Moultrie; sister, Melissa Conner of Moultrie; mother-in-law, Cheryl Seagel and husband Joe of Missouri; sister-in-law, Vickie Kinard and husband Frankie of Missouri; aunt, Genelle Payne of Buford, Ga.; Uncle, Larry Teal and wife Faye of Perry, FL.; nieces & nephews, Robby Conner and wife Andrea of Moultrie, Cassie Smith and husband Brett of Moultrie, Clorissa “Buggar” Conner of Moultrie, Bubba Towns of Valdosta, and Amber Wilson of Missouri; 4 great-nephews; 1 great-niece and several cousins.
