Tammie Lynn Conner Poole

Tammie Lynn Conner Poole, 61, of Moultrie, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 19, 2006, surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Christian Crusade Church with Reverend Shannon Partain officiating.

Born on April 22, 1964, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Dellamar Conner, Sr. and Laura McDonald Conner.

Ms. Poole worked as a CNA at Golden Apple for more than twenty years. Afterward, she continued her calling as a caregiver for the elderly, a role she fulfilled with a true God-given gift for compassion and service. She was also a talented baker, well known for her Hershey Bar cake and homemade icing, which were often requested by family and friends. Ms. Poole was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynward Poole; her granddaughter, Airel Kilgore; and her brother, Robert Conner.

Ms. Poole is survived by her devoted life partner of more than forty years, William Merritt, Sr.; her daughters, Melissa Sloan and husband Nicholas, and Amanda Cooper and husband Justin; her son, Joseph “JoJo” Conner; her stepdaughter, Sabrina Alderman; and her stepsons, William Merritt, Jr., and Brian Merritt; her grandchildren, William Robinson, Kalee Kilgore, Dakota Kilgore, Rose Kilgore, Zackery Kilgore, Rebecca Williams, Trent Cooper, Makala Deas, Emily Alderman, Sawyer Veal, Devin Merritt, Ryan Merritt, Heaven Johnson, and Madison Merritt; her great-grandchildren, Kia Kilgore, Georgia Williams, Josie Williams, Layne Alexander Corbitt, Mads Halen Corbitt, Emma Merritt, Olivia Merritt, and Lakelyn Anne Alderman; her brothers, Dellamar Conner, Jr., Jeff Conner, Greg Conner, Don Conner, and Dusty Conner.
