Sybil Ester Cummings

Sybil Ester Zeigler Cummings, 92, of Valdosta, died Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30 pm on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery with Rev. Danny Holland officiating. The family will receive friends before and after the service at the cemetery. Tony Hall, Terry Sasser, Keith Howell, Chris Crawford, Jim Culbertson, Lynn Singer, and Sherry Sasser will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on May 26, 1929, in Polk Co., Florida, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Erza Zeigler and Lula Lee Glass Zeigler. Mrs. Cummings worked as a waitress for various restaurant establishments and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, L.D. Cummings; sons, Ronnie Cummings and Mike Cummings; daughters, Delores Register Griffin and Nancy Cummings; granddaughter, Mandy Crawford; also 5 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Cummings is survived by her loving daughters, Sherry Sasser and husband Terry of Birmingham, AL and Janet Lynn Singer of Palatka, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Davis of Moultrie, Keith Howell and Kevin Howell, both of Birmingham, AL, Michelle Crawford of Palatka, FL and Chris Crawford of Crescent City, FL; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
