Susan “Susie” Marie Plymel Tucker, 74, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Murphy Cemetery. James Tucker, Carl Gay, Kevin Kelly, Jeffrey Fillyaw, and Tim Strickland will serve as pallbearers.

Born on October 16, 1952, in Coco Beach, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Chester E. Plymel and Dorethea “Dorothy” Faye Mitchum Plymel.
Mrs. Tucker was a longtime accountant and also worked as a caterer for Gay’s Seafood. She was a wonderful cook and found great joy in preparing meals for her family and others. In her spare time, she enjoyed thrifting and visiting yard sales, always happy to find something special or unexpected. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed her Bible and cookbooks. She also loved spending time in her garden and taking pride in watching things grow. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Above all, she cherished her family and the time they shared together.
She is survived by her husband, Mervin Allen Tucker of Moultrie; son, Eric Allen Tucker and wife Ashley of Moultrie; daughters, Erica Tucker of Sylvester and Selina Tucker of Moultrie; grandchildren, Eliza Tucker, Bain Bailey, and Lilly Freeman; brothers and sisters, Chet Plymel, Linda Zito and husband Joe, Kay Simmons, Stanley Plymel and wife Kathy, Joy Crook and husband Jim, and Judy Jones and husband Terry; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mentor and father figure, Roscoe Gay; and sister-in-law, Linda Plymel.
