Steven Edward Taylor, 73, of Moultrie, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born on January 8, 1953, in Fort Deposit, Alabama, he was the son of the late Betty Shaw Taylor and William Edward “Bill” Taylor. Steve owned and operated Tri-County Equipment, serving the agriculture community for many years. He loved spending time outdoors and appreciated the simple joys of life. One of his favorite places was Mexico Beach, where he enjoyed relaxing and making memories with family and friends. Steve also had a knack for gardening and took pride in caring for his plants. He especially loved his animals and cared for them deeply. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for the outdoors, and the quiet kindness he shared with those around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Upton Taylor of Moultrie; sons Steven Brent Taylor and wife Hope of Tampa, Florida, and Maurice Edward “Reese” Taylor and wife Whitney, of Rayle, Georgia, and Ed Norman and wife Beth of Moultrie; daughters, Lisa Hewitt and husband Scott of Moultrie, Laura Berryman and husband Daniel, and Julie Becker, all of Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, Cason Hugh Taylor, Jackson Shaw Taylor, Knox Edward Taylor, Gordon Beckett Taylor, Ella Reese Taylor, Laura Mobley, Wilson Hewitt, Caroline Cargill, Anica Becker, Shelby Norman, and Adelyn Norman; great-grandchild, Elizabeth Mobley; and sisters, Susan Mills and husband Jack of Donalsonville, Georgia, Mary Jarrett of Dothan, Alabama; and sister-in-law, Martha Taylor of Covington, Georgia.

Arrangement entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
