Solita Barfield Gordon

Solita Barfield Gordon, 93, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Born on February 28, 1931, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late B.L Barfield and Gladys Taylor Barfield. Throughout her life, Solita's greatest joy was her family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to creating a warm and loving home, where her presence brought comfort and happiness to all who knew her. Solita's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be treasured by those fortunate enough to have been touched by her grace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Leroy Gordon; brothers, Lowell Barfield, and Charles Barfield.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her sons, Van Gordon and wife Melissa and Michael Gordon and wife Patricia, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Cade Gordon, Matthew Gordon, April Bentley, Adam Albrite, and Richard Gordon; and several great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.
