Shirley Jean Rutledge

Shirley Jean Roberts Rutledge, 79, of Crosland, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Crosland Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Ronnie Shiflett officiating. Steve Pearce, Joey Roberts, Lee Walker, Craig Baker, Sonny Baker, and Jim Anthony, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the “Hallelujah Girls” Gail Baker, Sherry Roberts, Wanda Fletcher, Joanne Sumner, Sandra Mercer, Sharon Crosby, and Polly Tanner. Interment will follow at Crosland Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born on March 28, 1944, in Crosland, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Lee Roberts and Ethel Mae Perry Roberts. She retired from Ameris Bank as a bank teller and was a member of Crosland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leron Rutledge.
Mrs. Rutledge is survived by her son, Stacey Rutledge and wife Sandy of Crosland; brother, Don Roberts and wife Linda of Crosland; and grandchildren, Taylor Rutledge, and Rebekah Rutledge.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 10, 2023, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
