Sherri LaRane Newman Padgett, 49, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Hopewell Church Cemetery with Rev. Ken Anderson officiating.
Born on December 26, 1970, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of Mary McMurphy Newman of Moultrie and the late Robert Lee "Bob" Newman, Sr. She was self employed and of the Baptist faith. Her greatest enjoyment was her son, Robert Michael Padgett.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mechelle Murphy; and nephew, Chuck Chesnutt.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Shawn Padgett of Moultrie; son, Robert Michael Padgett of Moultrie; brother, Robert Lee "Bobby" Newman, Jr. and wife Patty of Moultrie; Becky Fallin and husband Mike of Thomas County, and Rennie Butler and husband Robin of Moultrie; nieces, Holly Wilson and husband Jack of Thomas Co., Hope Gunter of Thomas Co., Brandy Jackson and husband Josh of Moultrie, Katee Newman and Tyler of Adel; nephews, Chris Fallen and Kaylin of Thomas Co. and Brandon Murphy and Destiny of Thomas Co.; 3 great nieces and 3 great nephews.
