Roy Albert “Al” Norman, 73, of Moultrie, died Friday, December 12, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Lifespring Church with Reverend Julian Griner and Reverend Caleb Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Altman, Brian Price, Ethan Gay, Eric Phillips, Robbie Tillman, and Jim Robison.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born on September 1, 1952, in Norman Park, Georgia, he was the son of the late Roy Alexander Norman and Lucile Gay Norman. Al spent many years in the finance industry, where he built a career centered on helping people. He worked for First Franklin Financial for 15 years before continuing his service with Globe Finance, where he served faithfully for 8 years as an Assistant Manager. Throughout his career, Al was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and willingness to go the extra mile for those he served.
Outside of work, Al loved the outdoors. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, especially the thrill of hunting and “bagging those big bucks.” These moments in nature brought him peace and happiness.
Above all else, Al’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, a proud father to his “daddy’s girl,” and papa to his grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart. His family was his world, and everything he did was for them. He was a member of Lifespring Community Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Earl Norman.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carol Norman; daughter, Leigh Ann Norman Altman and husband Jonathan; grandchildren, Karleigh Heard, Carsyn Heard, Jaxson Altman, and Rylan Altman; brother, Tommy Norman of Sylvester; and sister-in-law, Linda B. Norman; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Home & Crematory.
