Roberto Canas, Jr., de 51 años, de Moultrie, falleció el jueves 27 de agosto de 2026, en su hogar, rodeado de su familia.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio conmemorativo el lunes 31 de agosto de 2026 a las 4:30 pm, en la capilla de Baker Funeral Home.

La familia recibirá a familiares y amigos una hora antes del servicio en Baker Funeral Home.

Nacido el 17 de octubre de 1974 en Brownsville, Texas, era hijo de Roberto Canas Mascorro, de Brownsville, Texas, y Rosa Alejandra Alcantara Rodriguez, de Moultrie. Trabajó como carpintero y era de fe católica.

A Roberto le gustaba escuchar música y bailar, y nunca rechazaba una buena película. Disfrutaba especialmente de las reuniones familiares y de pasar tiempo con las personas que amaba. También disfrutaba salir a conducir simplemente para conocer lugares y disfrutar del paisaje. Por encima de todo, Roberto valoraba profundamente el tiempo que compartía con su familia y sus seres queridos.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Teresita Moreno Duarte Canas, de Moultrie; su padre, Roberto Cana Mascorro, de Brownsville, Texas; su madre, Rosa Alejandra Alcantara Rodriguez, de Moultrie; sus hijos, Juan Carlos Mendoza, Cindy Gonzalez, Carmen Gonzalez, Katelan Suggs, Roberto Cana, Jr., Julian Cana e Isabella Cana; sus hermanos, Rosaisela Cana, Edgar Francisco Cana, Alejandra Maribel Cana, Eliana Berg, Jesus Robereto Cana, Jose Antonio Cana y Violeta Irving Cana; además de varios sobrinos.

En lugar de flores, la familia solicita amablemente que las contribuciones conmemorativas se hagan directamente a Baker Funeral Home.

Roberto Canas, Jr., 51, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 4:30 pm, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Baker Funeral Home.

Born on October 17, 1974, in Brownsville, Texas, he was the son of Roberto Canas Mascorro of Brownsville, Texas, and Rosa Alejandra Alcantara Rodriguez of Moultrie. He worked as a carpenter and was of the Catholic faith.

Roberto enjoyed listening to music and dancing and never turned down a good movie. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with the people he loved. He also enjoyed taking drives simply to sightsee and enjoy the view. Above all, Roberto cherished the time he shared with his family and loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Teresita Moreno Duarte Canas of Moultrie; his father, Roberto Cana Mascorro of Brownsville, Texas; his mother, Rosa Alejandra Alcantara Rodriguez of Moultrie; his children, Juan Carlos Mendoza, Cindy Gonzalez, Carmen Gonzalez, Katelan Suggs, Roberto Cana, Jr., Julian Cana, and Isabella Cana; his siblings, Rosaisela Cana, Edgar Francisco Cana, Alejandra Maribel Cana, Eliana Berg, Jesus Robereto Cana, Jose Antonio Cana, and Violeta Irving Cana; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made directly to Baker Funeral Home.
