Robert Lee Horne, age 87, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Cobb/Suncrest Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Chris Walden officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born on April 29, 1938, in Mitchell County, Georgia, Robert lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family, hard work, and the things he loved most. A man of faith, Robert was of the Baptist faith and attended Memorial Baptist Church.

Robert was a skilled mechanic by trade and had a lifelong passion for old cars and racing. He could often be found working with his hands, restoring engines, or sharing stories and knowledge with those who shared his love for automobiles. His dedication to his craft and his quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Diane Walden (Mike), Penny Bridges (Doug), and Janet Presley (Neal); his stepchildren, Julio Silva (Gaby) and Karla Silva; as well as 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who will continue to carry on his legacy.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Silva Horne, and his stepson, Santos Silva.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his special caregiver, Krissi Jones, for the compassion, care, and support she provided.

Robert will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of family, and his passion for life’s simple joys. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
