Born on March 11, 1969, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of Earl W. “Buddy” Strickland, Jr. and the late Ruth Lanell Eddings Howell. Mrs. West took great pride in her work with code enforcement, a role she cherished for the opportunity it gave her to serve her community and make a difference. Her dedication and strong sense of fairness were evident to all who worked with her. Outside of work, she lived life to the fullest. She loved the outdoors, whether mud bogging, riding motorcycles, or tearing up the trails on a four-wheeler, she found joy and freedom in every moment. She had a deep passion for sewing, pouring her creativity and care into every stitch. Regina found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing precious moments cooking together and delighting them with homemade ice cream.
She was a woman who loved deeply and showed it through giving her time and talents to others. Her generous spirit and gentle heart touched all who knew her. Above all, it was her grandchildren who brought her life the fullest meaning and joy.
Mrs. West is survived by her husband, Jimmy Gratton West of Norman Park; sons, Master Sergeant Joseph William Flowers of Japan; daughter, Rachel Lanelle Pelsang and husband Douglas of Starke, FL; grandchildren, Nathaniel Flowers, Lawsen Pelsang, Leah Pelsang, Landon Pelsang, Lynnette Pelsang, Laura Pelsang, Levi Pelsang, Lewis Pelsang; brothers, Elvis Wondell Strickland, Sr of Nicholls, GA; sister, Tammie Ruth Dickens and husband Joe of Norman Park; daughter-in-law, Kristin Adamchik; and several nieces and nephews.
