Ray Glen "Mo D" Johnson

Ray Glen “Mo D” Johnson, 80, of Moultrie, passed away on December 2, 2025, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Westview Cemetery, with Reverend Trey Eakins officiating.

Mo D was born on October 22, 1945, in Moultrie to the late John Davis Johnson and Lora Bell Allums Johnson. He graduated from Moultrie Senior High. He worked as an iron worker for Local 387 in Atlanta, Georgia, for many years until retirement. Mo D was also a musician; he loved to play the guitar for family and friends. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, W.D. Johnson, and sister, Barbara Lanier.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra D. Allen; sons, Andrew Glen Bannister and Christopher Johnson; daughter, Billie Jo Johnson; grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, Keenan Harris, Kayla Johnson, Caleb Johnson, and Kaitlyn Bannister; and great-granddaughter, Harper Johnson.
