Peggy Jean Weeks

Peggy Jean Crosby Weeks, 85, of Norman Park, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Legacy Village of Tifton.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Weeks Chapel Church with Pastor Kevin Kilgore and Mr. Jess McNeill officiating. Kevin Kilgore, Jess McNeill, Chuck Carson, John McNeill, John Davis McNeill, and Duncan McNeill will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Weeks Chapel Cemetery.
Born on November 5, 1937, in Norman Park, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late J.T. Crosby and Sarah Inez Harrell Crosby Wright. She was a retired Vice President from Southwest Georgia Bank and was a member of Weeks Chapel. Peggy loved Weeks Chapel with her whole heart. She was a well-known figure in the Cool Springs community. Peggy spent her best years driving (fast!) back and forth to Americus and giving her grandchildren every single thing they wanted. “Gran” might have been her favorite name. She never missed a Braves game and spent any extra time reading and working on crossword puzzles. We find great joy in knowing the heavenly reunion that welcomed Gran Home!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Kelly Weeks; daughter, Teresa Weeks McNeill; and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Weeks is survived by her; grandchildren, Casey Kilgore and husband Kevin, Megan Carson and husband Chuck, and Jess McNeill and wife MeriBeth; son-in-law, John and Kaye McNeill; sisters, Barbara Davidson, and Vickie Thompson and husband Tim; brother, Ricky Wright and wife Beverly; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in Weeks Chapel Church.
