Patty Murphy Adams

Patty Murphy Adams, 76, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away at Archbold Medical Center on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Wesley Chapel South Cemetery with Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Dustin Moore, Randon Smith, Scott Passmore, Hank Mallard, and Devin Paulk will serve as pallbearers.

Born on August 26, 1948, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Murphy and Audrey Rentz Murphy. Mrs. Adams was a woman of quiet strength, endless creativity, and a deep love for the simple joys of life. A skilled woodworker and talented seamstress, she found great satisfaction in creating things, whether it was building something or stitching fabric into something beautiful and lasting. Her creativity was only matched by her kindness and willingness to share her skills with others. She had a lifelong love of western movies, often found with a classic film playing. Horses held a special place in her heart.

Mrs. Adams will be remembered not only for her many talents but also for her warmth, generosity, and the deep love she held for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, tradition, and love. She was a member of Berlin Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harold “Tommy” Adams; daughter, Tammy Adams Mallard; brother, Rentz Murphy; sister, Faye Croft; and brothers-in-law, Joe Croft and Claude Lord.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her son-in-law, Henry Dale “Hank” Mallard; sister, Linda Lord; sister-in-law, Mavis Murphy; grandchildren, Dain Mallard (Devin Paulk) and Colby Mallard (Hailey Nittinger), and Scott Passmore; many nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Mack Cranford.
