Patrick Allen Burke

Patrick “Patty Cake” Allen Burke, 44, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at his home.

A family memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Born on September 5, 1981, in Albany, Georgia, he was the son of Joe Burke and the late Joyce Darlene McGee Burke.

Patrick Allen “Patty Cake” Burke was a one-of-a-kind man. Pat loved his family with every ounce of his being. Whether it was his wild and sassy wife, Marie; his sweet, Paw-Paw-loving grandchildren; his growing-up-too-fast daughter, Kara; or the crazy, always-needing-something group of friends he considered family, he always made himself available. No matter what he had going on, he showed up fully and wholeheartedly for the people he loved.

Next to family—and usually with family by his side—you could find Pat at his happiest in the driver’s seat of his Kawasaki, riding dirt roads, hitting mud holes, and tearing things up with his people. When Pat wasn’t in the mud, he was in the water. He loved to fish and especially enjoyed sharing his tips and tricks with anyone who joined him on the water.

Patrick was a master body mechanic. He could fix just about anything brought to him, and he never did a job halfway. He was strong, skilled, dependable, and took great pride in his work.

Patty Cake was a tall, broad-shouldered man with bright blue eyes and a smile that could light up a room. He always had a hug for you before leaving, but more than anything, if you were fortunate enough to be loved by Patrick “Patty Cake” Burke, you knew a love that surrounded you, carried you through life, and never wavered.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Patrick was preceded in death by his daughter-in-love, Kyndsay Entrekin.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Beth Marie Griffin Sammons-Burke of Moultrie; son, Tyler Burke; daughters, Kara Burke; daughter-in-love, Crista McMurphy and husband Craig; son-in-love, Tyler Szarek and wife April; brothers, Joseph Burke and Ryan Beckham and wife Laken; grandchildren, Lilith Szarek, Scarlett Szarek, Harper Entrekin, Daisy McMurphy, and Ivy McMurphy; and special nieces and nephews, Alissa Beckham, Airen Beckham, Zoey Ward, Gabby Ward and Aden Ward.

Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
