Pamella Kenille Tatum Hurst

Pamella Kenille (Tatum) Hurst, of Norman Park, GA, passed away peacefully surround by family on November 15, 2025 at the age of 61 after a decade long journey with dementia.

In her lifetime, Kenille had a joyful spirit that shown bright to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife and mother, an adoring Nana, a beloved sister and daughter, a skilled and caring nurse, and an avid gardener and Walmart shopper.

Kenille is survived by her children, Candace Lawson (Terry) and Mark Hurst; her grandchildren, Logan and Anslee Lawson; her mother, Eunice Sellars; her step-father Gene Sellars; her sisters, Sheila Key (Greg) and Robin Shivers (Alex); as well as her 98 year old grandmother, Edna Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Hurst of 42 years; her infant son, Matthew David; and her father, Earl Tatum.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Pine Level Freewill Baptist Church in Scooterville, Ga. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment will follow at the Hurst Family Cemetery at Paulks Chapel Church. Her nephews, Travis Key, Tatum Shivers, Gabe Shivers, and Will Railey as well as close family Chris Booth and Jamie Tillman will serve as Pallbearers.

Her children would like to extend a heartfelt thank you the caregivers at Legacy Village who have provided exceptional care over the past 11 months, with special recognition to Hannah and LaShay for their love and compassion for Kenille.

In lieu of flowers and food, please consider making donations to Colquitt Regional Hospice and Home Health as they have played a significant role in end of life care for Kenille as well as other immediate family members.
