Naomi Rebecca "Becky" Hancock

Naomi Rebecca "Becky" Hancock, 80, of Norman Park, passed away Friday August 14, 2026, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August, 18, 2026, 11: 00 am at Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Clingan officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 2299 Rosebud Rd SW, Grayson, GA 30017. Aubrey Floyd, Tommy Massingill, J. Brown, Will Lane, Ronnie Davis, Jr., Jeremy Davis, Bill Burt, and John Eunice will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00 am before the service.

Born November 26, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Chastine Gooden and Sarah Louise Yancey Gooden. Mrs. Hancock dedicated 34 years of her life to teaching, touching the lives of countless students through her commitment to education. After retiring from the classroom, her faith and service to others remained an important part of her life. She was a faithful member of her church, where she taught Sunday School and served as the Missionary President. Her love for teaching extended beyond the classroom, and she found great joy in sharing her faith, serving others, and making a difference in the lives of those around her.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her first husband, Dwight Langley.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband, Jim Hancock of Norman Park; son, Dax Langley of Athens, Georgia; grandchildren, Kate Langley, Charlie Langley, Knox Langley, and Mamie Langley; brother, David Gooden and wife Jeannie of Mexico.
