Nancy Roberts Hurst

Nancy Marie Roberts Hurst, 81, of Norman Park, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 25, 2025 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Horne officiating. Interment will be at Rocky Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the funeral home.

She was born on September 17, 1943 in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Dan Roberts and Mecie Belle Dorsey Roberts. After high school, she enlisted in the Army, where she retired in 1993. She was awarded many medals during her tenure. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her special pet parrot, Boss.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Hurst; grandchild, Matthew Hurst; and brother, Buddy Roberts

Mrs. Hurst is survived by her grandchildren, Candace Lawson and husband Terry of Norman Park and Mark Hurst of Sumner; daughter in law, Kenille Hurst of Sumner; great-grandchildren, Logan Lawson and Anslee Lawson, both from Norman Park; sister, Ann Fowler of Thomasville; niece, Tammy Perkins of Havanna, FL; nephews, Scott Fowler and Ashley Fowler of Moultrie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice and Home Health.
