Michael Paul Smith

Michael Paul Smith, 38, of Moultrie, died Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida.
In accordance with his wishes, Michael will be cremated. A private family gathering to remember and celebrate his life will take place at a later date. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time.
Born on March 11, 1985, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of Carol Sue Smith Gay. He was a hardworking individual who carved his path as a self-employed construction worker and excelled as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Gay, and step-father, Dean Gay of Norman Park; his brothers, Christopher Gay and Nick Gay; his niece, Madilyn Gay; and his grandparents, Jimmy and Betty Sue Smith, Donald Gay, and Betty Sue Sloop. He is also survived by his uncles, Jimmy Darrell Smith and Jeff Smith, and his aunts, Diane Griffin, Becky Bozeman, and Donna Merriam.
