Michael Frederick Knape, Sr.

Michael Frederick Knape, Sr., 65, of Lenox, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at Staunton Cemetery, Friday, April 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm with Reverend Clarence Luke officiating.

Born of July 10, 1960, in Tifton, Georgia, he was the son of the late Mary Frances Cook Knape and Warren Mason Knape, Sr. Mr. Knape was retired from the City of Adel working in utilities and driving for the garbage collection.

Mr. Knape is survived by his son, Michael Knape, Jr. and wife Brandi of Lenox; daughter, Melissa Faulk and husband Glenn of Brookfield; grandchildren, Bentley Knape, Aiden Knape, Summer Brannon, and Autumn Brannon; brother, Warren Mason Knape, Jr. of Adel; sisters, Martha Darden and husband Laddie of Lenox and Marie Bennett of Adel.
