Mary Ellen Glass Boyce

Mary Ellen Glass Boyce, 83, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Lennon Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Church Cemetery. Cynthia A. Blake, Kenneth D. Dorminy, Timothy L. Dorminy, Austin Dorminy, Reese Johnson, and Ragen Johnson will serve as pallbearers. 

Born on December 26, 1940, in Valdosta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Roy Eldon Glass and Christine Wiggins Glass. Mrs. Boyce retired from Publix after 36 years and was of the Baptist faith. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Thomas Boyce; son, James F. Dorminy; grandson, James D. Dorminy; brother, David Glass; and sister, Betty O’Hearn. Mrs. Boyce is survived by her sons, Kenneth D. Dorminy and wife Lisa of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Timothy L. Dorminy and wife Marie of St. Cloud, Florida; daughters, Cynthia A. Blake and Tammy Tripp of Moultrie; brother, Roy H. Glass and wife Sandra of Florida; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
