Mary Joyce Carr Bryant, 82, of Norman Park, died on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Pine Level Baptist Church with Reverend Eugene Strickland officiating. Pallbearers will be Bryan Guthrie, Lee Williams, and the deacons of the church. Interment will follow at Paulks Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Born on September 2, 1943, in Sylvester, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Jackson Bryant and Etha Artie Bledsoe Carr. A devoted homemaker throughout her life, Mrs. Bryant found her greatest joy in caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and kindness. She was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she leaves behind countless cherished memories that will be forever held close in their hearts.
Mrs. Bryant was also a faithful and devoted member of Pine Level Baptist Church, where she worshiped faithfully and loved her church family dearly. Her strong faith, gentle spirit, and caring heart touched many lives throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Lee Bryant; daughter, Sheila Joyce Perkins; brothers, Dalton Carr, Monroe Carr, Larry Carr and JB Carr; and sister, Janice Malone Luke.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ann Bryant and Roger Dorsey of Scooterville; son, James Lee Bryant and Sheila of Tifton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Morris Luke; and sisters-in-law, Kay Carr and Janie Carr; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Home and Crematory.
