Mark Edward Williams

Mark Edward Williams, 54, of Berlin, passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 10, 2024. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Reverend Marlon Daniels officiating. Inurnment will be held at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends one hour before the service. 

Born on January 7, 1970, at Martin Army Hospital Fort Benning, Georgia, he was the son of John Dale Williams and Barbara Ann Cummings Williams of Berlin. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Air Force with honor and dedication. Following his military service, Mr. William dedicated himself to serving and protecting others through his work with the Colquitt County and Brooks County Sheriff’s Offices, where he earned his colleagues' and community's respect and admiration. He later transitioned to a career as a truck driver with KLH Trucking, known for his dependability and friendly presence on the road. Mr. William’s faith guided his life, and he found joy in fellowship with his church community. His legacy of service, trust, and kindness lives on in the lives of all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Dale and Barbara Ann Williams of Berlin, he is survived by his wife, Brandy Yates Williams of Berlin; children, John Mark Williams and wife Channer of Moultrie, Justin Williams and wife Lynn of Moultrie, Abigail Gonzalez and husband Luke of Camilla, and Lilyann Williams of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jace, Jaxon, Ridley, Jayden, Aria, Layla, Landon, Waverly, Blakely, Annie, and Colin; sisters, Marsha Mixon of Berlin, and Kristy Soper and husband Will of Marietta; special friends, TJ Frye of Tifton and Lee Roberts of Thomasville; and several nieces.
