Margaret Moore

Margaret Hiers Moore, 85, of Moultrie, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Cobblestone Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Kennedy officiating. David Strayer, Jason Moore, Kade Kennedy, Ricky Smith, Matt Adcock, and Rayland DeMott will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born October 30, 1937, in Quitman, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hiers and Emily Hiers. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Curtis Moore; brother, Randall Hiers; and son-in-law, Marty Hooks.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter, Donna Hooks of Moultrie; son, Dewayne Moore of Moultrie; brothers, Cecil Hiers and wife Robbie of Barney, Larry Hiers of Norman Park, and Robert Hiers of Valdosta; sisters, Barbara Hiers Nelson and Sara Hiers Suggs both of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Traci Wilford and husband Sean, David Strayer and wife Megan, Heather Smith and husband Ricky, all of Moultrie, and Jason Moore and wife Blair of Tifton; great-grandchildren, Kade Kennedy, Cryslyn Kennedy, Izabelle Kennedy, Cole Smith, Brantley Smith, Evelyn Strayer, and Adalee Smith; great great grandchild, Drake DeMott; and sister in law, Grace Holder.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service from 2:00-3:00 PM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
