Margaret Ann "Maggie" May

Margaret Ann “Maggie” Clark May, 87, of Moultrie, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born on October 22, 1937, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Paul James Clark and Ola Mae Pope Clark. Maggie devoted her life to caring for her home and family. She loved cooking Southern dishes for her entire family. As a dedicated homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming space for all who entered her door. Her gentle spirit, nurturing heart, and unwavering love left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester “Hugh” Houston May; son, Michael May; and sister, Elizabeth Wyble.

Mrs. May is survived by her son, Brett May and wife Stacie of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Laurel May, Lily May, Kile May and Alexis May; and sister Wynette Clark Horne and husband Danny of Moultrie; niece Gina Horne McDonald and husband Bryan; nephew Clint Horne and wife Wendy; great niece and nephew Hogan Horne and Lyla Horne.
