Margaret Ellen Jones Giles

Margaret Ellen Jones Giles,75, of Doerun, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Doerun City Cemetery with Reverend Dr. David Benton officiating.

Born October 21, 1950, in Moultrie, GA to the late Bobby Jones and Margaret Croy Jones. Mrs. Giles was a hairdresser at Hair Doctor, where she took great pride in her work. She loved antiquing, fishing, and hunting, and her greatest joy came from being with her family—especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking and relaxing at home watching game shows.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tony Giles, and sister, Anne Strickland.

Mrs. Giles is survived by her husband, Ellis Terry Giles; daughter, Amy Giles and husband Roger Lott of Doerun; grandchildren, Haylen Giles, Tanner Giles, Savannah Lott, Payton Lott, Mila Lott, Meralynne Giles; great-grandson, Paxton Scott; sisters, Sue Jones and Kathy Brady (Larry), both of Doerun; sister by heart, Johnsie Hanfield Crosby of Doerun; and several nieces and nephews.
