Mamie Lorene Burges Sauls, 89, of Moultrie, died Friday, November 20, 2020 at Legacy Village.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Dewey Stalvey officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on February 17, 1931 in Colquitt Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jimmie Stephen Burgess, Sr. and Lillie Giles Burgess. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of Moultrie First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Allen Sauls, Sr.; her daughter, Rebecca Sauls Moore; brothers, James Curtis Burgess, Marvin Jackson Burgess, and Roy Everett Burgess; and sisters, Lena Burgess, and Eleanor Burgess.
Mrs. Sauls is survived by her son, Paul Allen Sauls, Jr. and wife Sandra of Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren, Angela Kaye Sauls, Jacob Sauls, Caleb Sauls, Carly Moore Redding and husband Brice, Hannah Moore, and Stephen Moore and wife Carolina; great grandson, William Moore; brother, Jimmie Burgess and wife Wanda of Texas; and special friend and caregiver, Ms. Mary Hall of Moultrie.
