Lynwood A. Walden

Lynwood A. Walden, 72, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Kilgore, Courtney Azar, Bo Sprunger, Todd Braswell, Brian Blair, and Jared Gibson.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Born on November 13, 1950, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Eugene Walden and Doris Lorene Croft Walden. He retired after 33 years with the Moultrie Fire Department where he served as the training officer. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sam E. Walden.
Mr. Walden is survived by his loving wife, Rita Kight Walden; daughter, Jessica Walden; sister Shirley Walden Pearson of Loganville; sister-in-law, Nell Walden of Adel; step-brother, Danny Ward and wife Tami; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
