Born on September 7, 1936, in Colquitt Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Jackson Jordan and Nancy Sallie Giles Jordan. A devoted homemaker, Lois dedicated her life to caring for her family. She never sought a career outside the home because her heart was fully invested in the people she loved most. Creating a warm, welcoming home was her life’s work, and she did so with grace, strength, and quiet sacrifice.

Lois deeply loved her brothers and sisters, cherishing the lifelong bonds they shared. She also held a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Family gatherings, conversations, and simply being together brought her immense joy. Her love for them was constant, steady, and unconditional.

Lois was a faithful member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She loved the Lord deeply and cherished her church family. Worship brought her great joy, and she found peace and strength in praising the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a guiding light to those around her.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her faithfulness to family, and the countless ways she showed her love through everyday acts of care and kindness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Goodroe. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Odelle Jordan Cato, William Jordan, Burnette Jordan, Eddie Jordan, Doris Jordan DeLong, Mozelle Coleman, and Gurland Jordan, Sr. Though she experienced deep loss throughout her life, she held tightly to the love and memories they shared.

Mrs. Goodroe is survived by her loving sisters, Faye Rowe and Virginia Asbell, both of Moultrie; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
