Linda Faye Hutchinson Waters

Linda Faye Hutchinson Waters, 74, of Norman Park, died Friday, November 28, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Blaine Walden. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.

Born on February 19, 1951, in Adel, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ivey S. Hutchinson and Mary Lou Wright Hutchinson. In her earlier years, Faye proudly owned and operated Purvis Beauty Shop, where she shared her creativity, kindness, and gift for making others feel special. Later in life, she worked many dedicated years at Riverside Manufacturing Company, forming lifelong friendships along the way.

Faye had a deep love for flowers and found joy tending to her garden, where she spent many peaceful hours nurturing the beauty around her.

Faye devoted her life to her family, cherishing her children and grandchildren above all else. They were her greatest pride, and she poured her heart into supporting, loving, and guiding them. She also held close the memory of her beloved companion, Jimmy Leon Waters, Sr., whom she missed dearly since his passing in 2020. She was a devoted member of Ellenton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Leon Waters, Sr.; nephew, Craig Lewis; and brother-in-law, Albert Waters.

She is survived by her children, Katie Skeen and husband Michael of Moultrie and Jimmy L. Waters, Jr. of Adel; grandchildren, Jaylin Skeen, Coby Skeen, Tyler Waters, and Cayden Waters; sisters, Nell Johnson of Ellenton, and Nancy Passmore and husband Darrell of Norman Park; sister in law, Janice Waters Spradley of Norman Park; and nieces and nephews, Curtis Lewis, Selena Henry, Suzanne Passmore, Alice Rooks, Matt Dawson and Lincoln Dawson.
