Lillian Pope Brock (PICTURE) NORMAN PARK Lillian Pope Brock, 90, of Norman Park, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, June 28, at Pineview Baptist Church with the Revs. Stanley Norman and Ken Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Born Nov. 7, 1921, in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Pope and Vera Ethel Gordon Pope. She was a homemaker and a member of Pineview Baptist Church in Funston, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Her family remembered her to be a loving and caring wife and mother and that she loved to garden, can and cook for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Brock; sisters, Mildred Pope Brock and Luzzine Pope Jarvis; and grandchildren, Stephanie Buck, Teresa Brock and Timothy Bass. Survivors include sons, Edwin C. Brock and wife Mary of Milam, Texas, Robert Lee Brock of Norman Park, Roger Brock of Norman Park, Charles Brock and wife Charlotte of Deridder, La., and David Brock and wife Sandra of Moultrie; daughters, Ruth Zimny, Ethel Barrett, Margie Hicks and husband George, all of Moultrie and Kaye Bass and husband David of Tifton, Ga.; brother, Cleve Bryan of Athens, Ga.; 25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
