Leonard Martin Blaxton

Leonard Martin Blaxton, 69, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Pruitt Health Brownwood in Moultrie.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Siniard officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Leonard was born on January 8, 1957, in Mount Vernon, Georgia, to the late Jay Blaxton and Luella Kent Blaxton. He worked as a mechanic and had a genuine passion for anything with an engine. He especially enjoyed antique cars and took great pride in restoring them, bringing old cars back to life and making them something special again. Leonard also enjoyed watching drag racing and could appreciate the excitement, power, and skill that went into the sport. He was a hands-on kind of man who enjoyed working with his cars and spending time doing the things he loved.

He is survived by his son Robbie Blaxton and wife Jackie of Moultrie; grandchildren, Mckenzie Blaxton, Cameron Blaxton and wife Gisselle, Emily Blaxton, Joshua Stephens, Briar Chitty, Addison Blaxton, Case Chitty, and Wrenlee Blaxton; great-grandchildren, Braylon Jarrell.

In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Blaxton and James Blaxton; and his sister, Viney Ellis.
