Lena Mae Saunders

Lena Mae Hancock Saunders, 92, of Norman Park, died Thursday, July 9, 2020 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday July 13, 2020 in the chapel of Baker Funeral home with Rev. Brandon Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Paulks Chapel Cemetery. Jason Brooks, Chaney Brooks, Gary Saunders, Dillon Conger, Brandon Conger, and Ricky Sikes with serve as pallbearers.
Born on May 5, 1928, in Worth Co., she was the daughter of the late Homer Hancock and Mary Lee Price Hancock. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Holiness Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Wayne Saunders, and Lynward Saunders; sister, Evelyn Mauldin; brother, Leroy Hancock, and a grandson, Randy Sutton.
Mrs. Saunders is survived by her son, Larry Saunders of Sumner; daughters, Joyce Evans of Norman Park, Peggy Brooks and husband Tommy of Sumner, and Brenda Saunders of Norman Park; brother, William Hancock and wife Pat of Albany; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 4:00-6:00pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
