Laverne Sauls

Laverne “Bunnie” Tompkins Sauls, 84, of Omega, died Monday, September 13, 2021 at Parks Regency Village.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the Chapel at Baker Funeral Home with Russell Sauls officiating. Interment will follow at Wrights Chapel Cemetery. Turner Sauls, Allen Beggs, Blake Spradley, James Williams, Rodney Sauls, Randall Sauls, and Shannon Taft will serve as pallbearers.
Born on August 27,1937, in Worth County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Banks Tompkins and Louise Saunders Tompkins. Mrs. Sauls was a homemaker and was of the Holiness Faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Virlyn Russell Sauls; grandson, Travis Allen Sauls: brother, Harry Tompkins: and sister, Carolyn Tompkins Robinson.
Mrs. Sauls is survived by her sons, Ray Dean Sauls and Randall Eugene Sauls, both of Scooterville, Rodney Emerson Sauls of Rebecca, and Russell Laverne Sauls and wife Jennifer of Sumner; daughters, Carol Ann Sauls Taft and husband Brian of Albany, and Cindy Elizabeth Sauls Beggs and husband Allen of Omega; grandchildren, Ashley Diane Ring and husband Paul of Eldorado, Lyla Taft, Shannon Taft, Olivia Taft, Rebecca Taft, all of Albany, Turner Sauls of Sumner, and Brandon Scott Parker of Sylvester; great-grandchildren , Zack Ring, Anna Kake Ring, Rafe Sauls, Renley Sauls, Remy Sauls, Ellasyn Gandy, and Emilyn Willis; brother, Hugh Banks Tompkins and wife Sandra of Sylvester; sister, Vivian Kimbrell and husband Edward of Norman Park.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 6-8 in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
