Larry Wayne Burley

Larry Wayne Burley, 77, of Moultrie, died on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Jeffrey Johnson officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Sardis Church Cemetery. Mykl Burley, Jadon Burley, Riley Partain, Kevin Wingate, Bubba Burley, and Robert Ratliff will all serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born on October 20, 1948, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late George Wesley Burley and Jewell Wynell Evans Burley. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent many years employed with Cooper Tires in Albany, Georgia, where he faithfully served until his retirement. Larry was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and the respect he earned from his coworkers and friends alike.

A proud veteran, Mr. Burley honorably served his country in the United States Navy. His time in the military reflected his sense of duty, discipline, and love for his country—qualities that remained evident throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, William Burley and Michael Burley; grandson, Devin Braswell; great-grandson, Beckham Wingate; and brother, Francis Burley.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Joyce Burley of Moultrie; son, David Burley and husband Robert of Valdosta; grandchildren, Brittaney Schwing and husband Scott, Bubba Burley, Wesley Keith, Kailie Wingate and husband Kevin, Mykl Burley(Jasmine), Jadon Burley, Riley Partain, Kaylie Ann Davison, and Chyanna Whittemore; great grandchildren, Lanie Burley, Liam Burley, Jacob Schwing, and Adalaide Wingate; along with other extended family members and many friends.
