Born September 7, 1960, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Jimmie Crawford and Betty Jean Hamilton. Mrs. Barden was a remarkably strong woman whose life was defined by love, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. Through every season of life, she showed resilience, grace, and quiet strength, always putting others before herself.
She was an exceptional mother and grandmother, and her children and grandchildren were truly the center of her world. Everything she did was for them—her time, her energy, her prayers, and her love. She took great pride in caring for her family and found her greatest joy in watching them grow, succeed, and gather together.
Mrs. Barden was also a loving and devoted sister, offering support, loyalty, and kindness that could always be counted on. Her family knew her as someone who stood strong in difficult moments and celebrated wholeheartedly in joyful ones.
Her faith in Jesus guided her life and shaped the way she loved others. It was a constant source of strength and comfort, and she lived her faith through compassion, service, and steadfast belief.
She especially loved cooking, watching cooking shows, and preparing meals for holidays and special occasions. The holidays were her favorite, when the kitchen came alive with her care and attention, and the table became a place of connection and togetherness. Her cooking was more than food—it was an expression of love.
Mrs. Barden will be remembered as a strong woman, a devoted mother and grandmother, a caring sister, and a woman of deep faith. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished so deeply, and she will be forever loved and dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Barden; grandparents, Ola Mae Hamilton and husband Wesley and Annie Mae Carwford and husband Thomas.
