Kathy Simpson Walker
Kathy Simpson Walker, 71, of Moultrie, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Oakview Health and Rehab in Summerville, Georgia.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. A private family inurnment will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery.
Born on May 29, 1952, in Moultrie, Georgia, Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Alexander Dewitt Simpson and Iris Boyd Simpson. She was a cosmetologist and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Walker was an avid pianist and volunteered at local nursing homes sharing the love of Jesus every opportunity she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Walker; and brother, Daniel “Danny” Simpson.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughters, Rhonda “Mitzi” Smith and husband David of Woodstock, Angela Wolfe and husband Charles of Donalsonville; grandchildren, Jessica Helms and husband Marshall, and Alex Smith all of Woodstock; and great-granddaughter, Tyler Jolene Helms.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
