Kathryn Elusia Emmett Crosson Wooten, 98, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Born on July 3, 1924, in Hanging Rock, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Walker Weldon Emmett and Rose Blanche Schuller Emmett. She was a homemaker and was the oldest living member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Johnnie Lewis Crosson, 2nd husband, Donald Dean Wooten; son, Richard Eugene Crosson; brother, Weldon Emmett; sister, Mary Emmett Curl; a granddaughter; Natalie Rise; and great-grandson, Lane Crosson.
Mrs. Wooten is survived by her daughters, Marie Crosson NeSmith and husband Ronald of Birmingham, Alabama, Helen Crosson McPhail of Norman Park, Georgia, Nancy Crosson Manley of Norman Park, Georgia, and Carolyn Crosson Hurm of Norman Park, Georgia; daughter in law, Brenda Crosson of Avon Park, Florida; step-daughters, Patricia Sunkel of North Carolina, Pam Slabaugh of Florida, Darlene Treat , and Karen Butler both of Indiana; grandsons, David NeSmith and wife Stacey, Anthony Haygood and wife Miriam, Shannan Crosson, Travis Crosson and wife Dawn, Daryl Rise, Michael Hurm and wife Andrea, Damien Hurm and wife Amanda, and Ashlee Hurm and wife Melissa; granddaughters, Angela NeSmith Pruden, Jennifer Rise Deer and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Leisha Williams, Landon NeSmith, Lauren Metzler, Katie Pruden, Joshua Haygood, Benjamin Haygood, Elisabeth Joy, Matthew Haygood, Phoebe Haygood, Anna Haygood, Nathanael Haygood, Tiffany Sparks, Megan Crosson, Mary Peck, Kadie Crosson, Canyon Rise, Emmerie Rise, Emmett Rise, Gabriel Deer, Cayden Rise, River Rise, Michael Hurm, and Elizabeth Hurm; and 10 great great grandchildren.
