Joseph Anthony LoFasso, 79, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Archbold Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Anderson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Derrin Kilgore, Rob Farmer, Nathan Cato, Donnie Robinson, Michael Robinson, and Devin Weeks will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Weeks and Terry Davis.
Born on June 10, 1944, in Rome, Georgia, he was the son of the late Joseph Jack LoFasso and Lucy Emaline Jackson LoFasso. Having served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1969, he achieved the rank of Boiler Technician Third Class before embarking on a career as a dedicated welder at Walpole Trucking. Through his work and service, Mr. LoFasso touched the lives of many leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. A man of simple pleasures and unwavering loyalty, Joseph's kind heart and warm spirit endeared him to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community he called home.
Mr. LoFasso is survived by his loving wife, Alice Faye Robinson LoFasso of Moultrie; son, Joey LoFasso of Cartersville; daughters, Angie LoFasso Griggs and husband Chris of Robbinsville, North Carolina, Trena Weeks and husband Steve of Ellenton, Amy Farmer and husband Rob of Ochlocknee, and Prissy Cole and husband Terry of Ochlocknee; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
